Emmit Carpenter Named Big Ten Kicker Of the Year

In his first year on the field, Emmit Carpenter has put up outstanding numbers, and has been named the Big Ten kicker of the year.

Carpenter has converted 21-of-23 field goals during this season for a 91.3% conversion rate, and had 4 games with 3 or more field goals. He also made the semifinalist list for the Lou Groza Award.

Gophers' Emmit Carpenter Hits 52 and 53-yard field goals

With field goals of 52 and 53-yards, Emmit Carpenter was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week.

In the game against Purdue Carpenter connected on all three field goal attempts, with his third coming from 28 yards. The two from beyond 50 yards mark the longest of his career so far.

Chicago lived up to it's "Windy City" nickname for the Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp.  With the windy conditions, the group of close to a hundred athletes were put to the test and the truely talented athletes rose to the occasion. The Kohl’s Kicking Camp staff was able to accurately evaluate the top talent in the Midwest.
