(VIDEO) Talent Recap: 2015 Texas Spring Showcase


The Kohl's Kicking 2015 Texas Spring Showcase not only featured many of the  regions top prospects, but some of the top national prospects in kicking, punting and long snapping. The following guys should be strongly considered in the months to come for the Class of 2016.

Logan Tyler, a 2016 kicker/punter from the state of Missouri had the most outstanding day. Logan won the kickoff chart competition, was the drill work winner on field goals and finished fourth in punting during the charting period. He showed outstanding consistency by hitting 19 kicks in a row into the wind from 35 to 52-yards out. He showed Division 1 talent not only on kickoffs but also on field goals. His punting potential is still untapped.

Texas A&M commit Braden Mann in the Class of 2016 also showed extremely well. Mann won the kickoff competition and was the punt chart champion at the event. The state of Texas native showed well during all phases of camp and showed why Texas A&M will be lucky to have him.

Another Texas product, Drew Riethman, had an outstanding day making 9 out of 10 field goals, finishing second in the kickoff charting and finishing 6th in punt charting. Riethman is someone who should be closely looked at in the upcoming year as a kicker/punter in the 2016 class.

Two of the top performing punters at camp were Grant Carlson and Jackson Terry. Carlson is from the state of Texas and finished second in the punt charts and also showed extremely well in the drill work phase of camp. Terry, from the state of Missouri, won the punt competition and hit many of the best hang times of the event.

Another punter who had an outstanding day was Adam Fellner. Adam finished 3rd in the punt charts and showed well in the drill work period of the event using his long levers and big frame to hit punts downfield.

2016 kicker Connor Limpert from the state of Texas also had a good day at camp finishing 4th in the kickoff competition, making 9 out of 10 field goals and finishing 7th during the punt charting phase of camp as well.

2016 kicker Max Allen continues to impress with his strong kickoffs and great field goal range. Allen was a top finisher during not only the charting portion of camp on kickoffs but also the kickoff competition.

Kicker Justin Charette in the Class of 2016 from the state of Arkansas won the field goal competition and had an outstanding day during the charting session of the event as well on field goals.

Tanner Lange and Alvin Kenworthy from the state of Texas also showed well. Kenworthy made all 10 charted field goals and Lange finished in 3rd place in kickoff charts.

The Texas Showcase featured three outstanding Class of 2016 2016 snappers. Steven Wirtel won the long snapping charting session at the event, Richard McNitzky was 2nd and IV Seacat won the snapping competition held at the end of the event. All three had an outstanding camp and deserve to be looked at in the Class of 2016.
