Talent Recap: 2016 Midwest Spring Showcase

The 2016 Midwest Spring Showcase Camp had an outstanding group of athletes in attendance. Held outside of Chicago on a windy day, many athletes seperated themselves from the talented field of kickers, punters and long snappers.

Class of 2017 kicker/punter Sean McNulty from the state of Illinois may have had the best overall day. McNulty made 9-of-10 field goals and also won the kickoff charts held at the beginning of camp. He is a talented kicker/punter who lives locally in the Chicago region.

Another athlete that opened some eyes at camp was Chris Landgrebe, a 2017 kicker/punter from the state of Ohio. The strong leftly won the kickoff competition while hitting a blast that went 76 yards.

Matt Ference, a talented prospect from the state of Missouri, also showed well in the kicking and punting phase at camp. Ference made 8-of-10 field goals and finished second overall in the punt chart phase in the morning at the event.

Three other field goal kickers that seperated themselves were 2018 kicker Charles Campbell from the state of Tennessee who won the field goal competition, Kicker Patrick Kramer from the state of Illinois who made 8-of-10 and Collin Larsh from the state of Wisconsin who also made 8-of-10 field goals.

2018 kicker/punter Nick Mihalic had a solid day winning the punt charts held at the beginning of camp and showing well in the drill work phase of both kicking and punting.

Bryce Baringer, a 2017 kicker/punter from the state of Michigan, won the punt competition and came on strong towards the end of camp.

Two other athletes whose performances are worth noting is Colten McFadden, a 2017 prospect from the state of Ohio, who finished second in the kickoff charting phase, and Jake Julien, a punter from Ontario, Canada finished third in the punt charting phase.

In the long snapping division Treysen Neal won the snapping comeptition as well as the charting phase held at the beginning of camp. The 2018 prospect from the state of Missouri had an outstanding day.

Three other snappers worth noting are Gunner Daniel, a 2017 prospect from Ohio, Nick Simpson, a 2017 prospect from the state of Iowa, and Jeremiah Riordan, a 2017 prospect from the state of Michigan who already has fully committed to a division 1 school.
